One of the most prestigious international scholarships available is provided by Gates Cambridge, and it is called the Gates Cambridge Scholarships. Outstanding applicants from countries other than the UK can get money to go to the University of Cambridge full-time to get a postgraduate degree in any subject for which the university has programs.

Value and Inclusions of the Scholarship:

A Gates Cambridge Scholarship will pay for all of the expenses associated with attending Cambridge University. These expenses include tuition fees, a maintenance allowance (at the rate in effect for the 2022-23 academic year, it will be £18.384 for 12 months), travel costs, visa fees, and more. It also provides additional funding that can be used however the recipient sees fit, such as funding for academic development, family allowance, fieldwork, etc.

Instructions for Submitting an Application:

The submission period for applications to enter the academic year 2023–2024 will begin on September 15, 2022.

Applicants use the Graduate Application Portal provided by the university to submit their requests to be considered for admission and funding (both Gates Cambridge and any other funding). In order to be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, you are required to fill out the sections of the funding application that pertain to applying for admission to a course and a college place, as well as the section that pertains specifically to the Gates Cambridge Scholarship.

There are two different dates by which applicants must have submitted their Gates Cambridge applications: October 12th, 2022 (for US citizens living in the United States), and either December 1st, 2022 or January 5th, 2023 (depending on the course) (for all other eligible applicants).

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid should be filled out by each and every student (FAFSA). The federal government will determine what types of financial assistance you are eligible for after evaluating your application and determining your level of financial need. Keep in mind that the majority of federal awards are given out on the basis of need rather than merit.
